Ferrari: the trend reversal from Silverstone linked to Aero Tests:
— With just a pole position and one Sprint win so far in 2025, Ferrari remains off the pace in full-distance races, collecting only two podiums in Jeddah and Munich. Despite an underperforming SF-25, the team sits fourth in the constructors’ standings, trailing Red Bull and Mercedes, both of whom have faced inconsistency. McLaren, meanwhile, leads in dominant fashion, leaving Ferrari in a crowded battle for second best.
— The upcoming Spanish Grand Prix could prove pivotal, with the FIA’s TD018 directive on flexible wings coming into force. If rivals lose performance due to reduced front wing flexion, Ferrari might edge closer to reclaiming ground—though true competitiveness still appears out of reach without more fundamental gains.
— Key to the team’s development strategy is the Aerodynamic Testing Regulation (ATR), which allocates wind tunnel and CFD resources based on constructors’ standings. Ferrari’s current fourth-place ranking affords them only 75% wind tunnel access and 1500 CFD items, limiting mid-season innovation speed and scale.
— From July 1, however, the second half of the ATR calendar year begins. Should Ferrari retain their current position, they would receive a 10% bump in testing time and 300 additional CFD items. These gains would feed directly into development for the 2026 car, when sweeping regulation changes will require total redesigns.
— Ferrari’s technical management understands that a dramatic 2025 turnaround is improbable. Thus, resources are being steadily reallocated toward 2026, with updates for this year’s SF-25 now being spread out more conservatively across the remaining races. Silverstone could mark a strategic turning point as the team shifts focus.
— By shifting full ATR resources to project 678 in July, Ferrari aims to close 2025 respectably while safeguarding their chances for a major comeback under the next regulatory cycle. The balancing act now is damage limitation today, without compromising potential success tomorrow.

Το baseline ανά περίοδο είναι 320 runs που επιτρέπει 80 ώρες καθαρού wind on time και 400 ώρες όριο επεξεργασίας data.
In short:
