Τσεκαρα, και στεκομαι στα εξης:
This engine is something special. The Evora S, which shares the Exige's V-6, never feels overpowered, but here the engine
shoves me hard uphill through the track's first turn with a snarl. The grip is spectacular and easily a match for the available thrust all the way to Turn 4, which arrives far too quickly for comfort. Luckily the brakes are strong and reassuring, biting from the top of the pedal's travel despite a lack of heat in the pads. Still, I overshoot 4 by quite a bit.
The car is faster than it seems to be, and by quite a margin.
Exige's short platform was originally designed for a smaller, lighter four-cylinder—and it's true that the
Lotus's rear seems to move with more inertia than it would in a four-pot Exige. I provoke a few dramatic-looking slides while taking the long way around Turn 7 and am
able to catch the car with a quick spin of the usefully small Alcantara steering wheel. This Lotus isn't quite as nimble as the junior Exiges, but as I press on through Sonoma's "fast 9" turn, I'm reassured by its solid high-speed grip and the predictability of the rear tires.

http://www.evo.co.uk/lotus/exige/14286/ ... gt-r-trackThe Exige S shocked us with its performance, delighted us with its steering and sweet balance and made us genuinely excited about what might lie ahead for Lotus if only it can find the stability and investment it deserves. It’s the most exciting Lotus we’ve driven since the 2-Eleven and obviously a much more relevant package. It feels special, it looks stunning, sounds like a racer and goes like one too. If there’s a moral victor here, then it’s the car from Hethel.

http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-review ... 12-review/The Exige S is the first Lotus to use a Ferrari-style manettino, a small dial to the right of the steering that adjusts throttle response, engine sound, rev limit and, most importantly, chassis nuances. There are four settings: Tour, Sport, Race and Off.
It works brilliantly. Tour subtly and steadfastly kills the Exige’s tendency to understeer through slower corners, without the sense of power-cutting frustration that traction-control intervention often engenders. Sport is what Lotus calls ‘the fun mode’: it allows you to play around with the chassis much more, while still having a safety net.
The real brilliance is saved for Race. This mode constantly calculates and adapts itself to the maximum available traction, giving you the perfect balance between grip and slip for a mega laptime. It’s probably the least intrusive system I’ve ever tried – Ferrari 599 GTO included – and works with incredible subtly. Even Lotus gurus such as Becker are faster with the software switched on. Finally there’s off, at which point you’re on your own.
...ενα κομματι απο το συμπερασμα:
...it’s a breathtakingly special thing to drive. The chassis is exceptionally satisfying, the performance endlessly strong... If an Evora’s price and abilities still have you craving something from Stuttgart, and if you want something hardcore but can’t bring yourself to daily-drive a Caterham, try the Exige S before you sign on the dotted line. You will, I guarantee, be smitten
...και μια απαντηση για το θεμα του μηχανικου μπλοκε:
Becker admits this car is right on the limit of needing a limited slip diff, but dislikes the steering corruption inherent with them – and the car sometimes clumsily straightening up as the tyre regains traction. No, it’s better to either stay neat and tidy, or to give the Exige a very aggressive flick into the corner to get the car really sliding. Either way, it’s great fun.
